Central Health Uniform Hosted a Grand Opening of Waterbury Store On November 10th, Central Health Uniform hosted a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the official opening of their new medical scrubs, uniforms, accessories, footwear for women and men store at 201 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury. “Nurses and other medical professionals have been coming into the store for the past several days,” stated owner Nicole Daniels, “expressing great enthusiasm for the store and especially the hunter-green scrubs we carry.”
“We want to especially welcome you to Waterbury as a minority-owned business in the community,” stated Geraldo Reyes, Jr. (far left), State Representative for the 75th Assembly District during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Daniels was flanked by her mother, Clarice Daniels, and her son, Nicolas Daniels, both of Waterbury, during the ceremony. She was also enthusiastically welcomed by Lynn Ward (second from right), Waterbury Regional Chamber President and CEO, and Joseph McGrath, City of Waterbury Economic Development Director.
Central Health Uniform offers an exclusive line of medical and nursing scrubs plus accessories and footwear for women and men. “We truly are a one-stop shop for all medical professionals,” stated Daniels. “Our popular Jogger sets, and Stretch collections offer some of the best fitting, high quality made uniforms and scrubs available on the market today. Our comfortable and professional scrubs collections are available in a variety of bright colors and styles for every
season, and many at discount prices.”
In addition to the walk-in store, Central Health Uniform also offers a popular on-site Mobile Scrub Store. “Wherever possible,” explained Daniels, “I drive the Mobile Scrub Store to any nursing home, hospital, or rehabilitation center and park outside to offer staff members the convenience of shopping for apparel, footwear, or accessories without going offsite or using their personal time.” The Mobile Scrub Store provides services to Abbott Terrace of Waterbury, Litchfield Woods of Torrington, Arden House of Hamden, and others in Fairfield, Stratford, and Bridgeport. To schedule a visit of the Mobile Scrub Store in 2022, call 203-572-5495 “We also offer embroidery and a ‘scrubscription’ service for one low monthly fee that provides new scrubs, a poster card and a free gift, and delivered right to subscribers’ doors,” stated Daniels. “Soon we will also offer a mobile laundry service.”
A mother to five children, three biological and two foster, Daniels entered the medical field in June of 2016 as a nursing assistant. She was unfamiliar with the word ‘scrubs’ for medical uniforms and had none to wear to her first clients’ home. The program she worked with gave her a couple of scrubs for free. “When I went to purchase my own scrubs from a uniform store,” she recalled, “I was blown away by how expensive they were and that started the birth of Central Health Uniform.” As a retail store, online, and a mobile superstore, today Central Health Uniform offers quality scrubs plus such name brands as Cherokee, Dickies EDS, Natural Uniforms, Beverly Hills Uniforms, Med Couture, MediChic, Marilyn Monroe, and Zikit scrubs. Accessories offered range
from stethoscopes, penlights, disposable gloves, to face masks and clog footwear in a variety of styles and colors. “We take great pride in providing medical professionals worldwide with affordable and high-quality uniforms and accessories.
Medical professionals wear our uniforms and scrubs professionally and as casual or sleepwear and other-work wear. Teachers are also wearing scrubs to keep their families safe from COVID. As an online superstore, our broad range of scrubs includes 2-pocket scrub sets, cargo scrub sets, mock wrap scrub sets, one-pocket scrub tops, V-neck scrub tops, drawstring scrub
pants, cargo pants, print tops, plus non-latex exam gloves, masks, shoe covers, medical lab coats, warm-up jackets, medical ultra lite clogs, and medical fashion clogs.” Additional accessories offered by the business include lab coats, surgical caps in a variety of colors and styles, colorful compression socks for women and men, tote bags, plus a CNA Starter Kit that includes two scrub sets, hand sanitizer and hand lotion, and an Ambu Res-Cue CPR Mask on a keychain.
